Juried Youth Art Show

The South Carolina Festival of Flowers Juried Youth Art Show is a sanctioned exhibition hosted annually by The Arts Center of Greenwood in conjunction with the award-winning festival. The exhibition was established in 2015 with funding from an endowment for the arts established by Virginia Self. The exhibition represents artwork by regional grade school students. The exhibit is free to the public and remains on display for several weeks, allowing visitors extended time to experience the collection.

Join us for the Youth Art Show Reception & Awards Ceremony, free to the public. With over $1,000 in awards to be presented, enjoy food and refreshments as you celebrate the artists and their work.

1st – 5th Grade | 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards + 1 merit
6th – 8th Grade | 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards + 1 merit
9th – 12th Grade | 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards + 1 merit

1st Place – each category | $150
2nd Place – each category | $100
3rd Place – each category | $50
Merit Award – each category | $25

May 22 | art delivery (10 am – 5 pm)
May 28 | acceptance notification (via email)
May 28 – June 6 | exhibition duration (T – F, 10 am – 5 pm and S, 10 am – 3 pm)
June 4 | reception and awards (5 – 6:30 pm, awards announced @ 6 pm)
June 19 | art retrieval (10 am – 5 pm)

• ​no entry fee
• 1st – 12th grade
• only 2D artwork is eligible
• all artwork must be original
• size not to exceed 30″ in width
• each artist may submit three total entries
• all artwork will be eligible for awards if accepted into the final show
• all artwork must be matted, mounted and shrink-wrapped (white matte + white foam ONLY)
• not all artwork will be accepted into the final show (please note the notification of acceptance date)
