Flag Day Ceremony

Celebrate Patriotism

At Our Annual Flag Day Celebration!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Sunday, June 14th
Flagpole at Howard's on Main

6:00 PM - 6:30 PM
330 Main Street, Greenwood

Join us for the Annual Flag Day Celebration, proudly hosted by the Knights of Columbus, Assembly 3100 of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. This meaningful community gathering honors the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777, celebrating the history, unity, and values represented by the Stars and Stripes.

As our nation prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America in 2026, this year’s celebration offers a special opportunity to reflect on the enduring spirit and freedom our flag represents.

The program will include the Posting of the Colors, patriotic music performed by a choral group, readings from the middle schooler Citizenship Essay Contest winners, an inspiring keynote address, and the ceremonial retiring of the flag.

Join the Greenwood community for this moving tribute to our nation’s flag and the generations of Americans who have honored it.
