From Benjamin Franklin's electrifying experience with his kite and lightening to Thomas Edison's light bulbs to today, people have been experimenting with energy and power. How is electricity made? How does it get from the source to our outlets? Can you create energy? Come find out at The Museum's summer exhibit, Powering Our World.

While you are here stroll down our replica of Greenwood’s Main Street and its stores from 1910. Then head upstairs to visit our new wildlife exhibit.

On the lower level, you’ll find a number of interpretations of many aspects of life in Greenwood in the past including a horse-drawn hearse from 1885 and 1930’s Carolina kitchen.

Join us here at The Museum where history comes to life and learning is fun!
